Posted at August 30, 2006, 9:53 am: This is a question regarding the cut diet, mainly. I have now read through the whole cut diet book. It is PACKED with great information, and I feel like I learned a lot of new helpful facts. The one thing that stood out to me is the information regarding fats. There isn't really one specific question or concern, but just to mention something that really stood out was the section about supplements and peanut butter. The book read something along the lines that the calories of the peanut butter were not to be counted due to the fact that they will easily be burned off during the excercise. In my diet, I don't really keep my levels of fat high at all during ANY time of the day, but was wondering if I added more fats in, would I see any kind of negative effects. I am just worried that I have been keeping them to a limit lower than average, and that if I DO add them in suddenly, I will have negative gains. This is the only thing that ever gives me problems, and if you guys can give me some good facts and information to help me, I would be very thankful. The current sources of my EFA's are ground flax seed, flax oil capsules, and fish oil capsules. I talked to Chuck and he doesn't recommend the use of flax, but I do like to use the ground flax seed because of the fiber and polyunsaturated fats it offers. The nutritional values can be equal to those of any other source of EFA's so I don't see what the problem is, but I am willing to make changes based upon people's responses and information.
