Hi ladies,

I am currently following and upper/lower body split routine and sometimes my legs are still sore 4 days later(when I am supposed to work the legs again), according to the plan. I'm not really sure if diet or rest or what plays the biggest role here.. I'm guessing I just need to rest my legs.

Can progress still be made by working a muscle group as much as 6 days or a week apart? I'm currently taking a woman's multi and L-glutamine daily because I heard that L-glut. helps with muscle recovery. I've only been using it for a few days now but was wondering if there is anything else I can do. I drink plenty of fluids but I should also note that sometimes I have to hike approx 4 hrs a day for a biology class that I'm taking(not uphill) but through swamps and marshes. My biggest goal right now is to gain lean mass in my thighs so I don't want to give up on the heavy weights... (unless of course its counter productive)

Alright, any help is appreciated. What have you done in the past or currently? I was thinking a dif. split routine might be the best?

Thanks for your help.
