How much would you pay for an easy way to submit and automatically re-submit your products to Google Base/Froogle plus 7 additional shopping comparison engines (like Shopzilla, Shopping.com, PriceGrabber, NexTag, Yahoo Shopping, etc.)? My name is Brian Smith. I run a blog about shopping comparison engines and am about to launch a data feed management and submission service to help small and medium sized businesses submit their products to the shopping comparison engines. I'm hoping you can give me feedback on pricing. The name of the service is SingleFeed. Merchants fill out a single data feed with all their product information as opposed to having to create a new feed for each shopping comparison engine. Filling out the feed will take some time and resources, but merchants will save time in the end as they're only filling out one feed. The SingleFeed will be optimized in that it covers the required fields for all the shopping engines AND some optional fields which I know make a big difference. Merchants can resubmit a feed or edit their feed through our online service if they need to update any product information. There will be two levels of service. 1. Submission and automated re-submission to Google Base/Froogle for $7.99/month. 2. Submission and automated re-submission to any/all 8 shopping comparison engines for $109.99/month. [Although we have worked out deals - free clicks - with many of the shopping comparison engines to provide first time merchants with free clicks.] For eBay sellers who are using Google Base/Froogle or are thinking about it, what do you think of this pricing...too high? Too low? For those of you who work or have considered working with many shopping comparison engines, what do you think of the higher level service plan? How does it compare to ChannelAdvisor, Performics, Marketworks, Andale, etc.? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
