I am so glad I found this forum...Bob, I have been looking at the auction catalogue...I never knew how beautiful some marbles can be.
I deal in textiles and no nothing about marbles. I buy a lot of button tins and occasionally a few marbles are rolling around and I pass them onto my 6 year old daughter who is completely facinated by them. It is now at the point where when we go to an auction and she sees a jar or tin or bag of marbles she has to bid on them. She recently won this tin or marbles:

Are they shooters? How can I find out more info on them? date? value? Are they something I can let her play with, or should I just save them for her.
