My husbands father worked at the college of charleston back in the 1970's. This is a place that is in the historical part of charleston where homes were built in the 1800's. While my father in law was working at the college, he was under one of the houses there and found a brass cruxifix. it is about a foot long and the letters embossed INRI are near the top of the cruxifix. It appears that someone maybe glued a small hook piece on the back so that they could hang it on a wall. What puzzles me is that it has at the bottom a screw thread, like it is suppose to be screwed onto something. Any ideas of what this is. If you need a photo I can provide that. I am considering putting it on ebay but, I would like to know what it is first before doing that.
