Thanks so much to Auctionbytes for making this forum available.

Religious collecting is not something you'll read about everyday, but be assured, there are lots of passionate collectors out there.
Just do a search on Ebay under collectables, cultures and religion, religion, and you'll see the vast array of collectibles in this area.

My own specialty is Catholic items. Since the days following Vatican II, many of the older devotionals and sacramentals have been forgotten as modernism has taken reign. What a shame! We have lost so much of the richness of culture by becoming so homogenized. However, there is still a wide range of interesting items for those who love collecting:

Holy Cards - memorial, devotional, with paper lace, and so many more
Medals
Scapulars
Missals and old prayer books
Statues
Pictures
Sick Call Boxes and Crosses
and so much more ...

One particular category on Ebay that bothers many people is "Relics". These items are forbidden by the church from being bought or sold ... so don't be tempted!

If you share this particular passion, let us hear from you. We'll be happy to help you identify your treasures and point you in the direction to broadening your collection.
