For the person who took their antiques to the dealers, and now are being told they have been broken or stolen. I would not for one minute believe these people. Very sorry about your granddaughter. Hope you got something from the Dr's too. Sounds like it was his fault. As for the dealers in those shops who will not give you your merchandise back, you don't need a lawyer. If you have a list of the things you took in (and I hope you do, so you know what you have there as well as the dealer knowing) you can go to the police and tell them the story. You should have no problem getting your merchandise back if you have a list or some sort of contract showing your merchandise, and the dealers that are selling it for you. If they have not paid you anything for the items (IE:Consignment shop) then they as much as stealing from you. I would go to the police station, and find out exactly they can do for you. Good luck. let us know what happens. Another good idea is to send someone in who you know to look for your specific items. The dealer will never know, and you can possibly get your items back they say are stolen or broken. These people need to have their homes searched by the police too, because they are probably taking it all home for their own gain. Don't let them get away with it. If the police will not help, go to the news paper. Believe me if they run a story about how you are being ripped off by these dealers, and show the dealers on TV or in the papers, the dealers will defenitely respond. They always do.
