This is response to the story about the auction thief that attempted to do a fast one on the Roseville piece. I wish the auctioneer had gone higher than the $30!!! But you did the right thing in warning the auctioneer. It would be no different than if you saw a shoplifter in a store. He was stealing and he got taught a great lesson!!! I wish more people would do things like that. Maybe there would be less of those shenanigans going on and maybe less shoplifting in antique stores. What's sort of sad as most of these people think they honest in their other parts of their lives but think nothing of stealing antiques and collectibles because they aren't "new". And it's not a "real" way to make a living. They would be horrified if someone came into their homes and did the same thing!!
