Hey there...

I have run across a vintage riding toy that has me intrigued. It is a " downhill racer" type about 4 1/2' long with a plank body and spoked wire wheels with skinny rubber tires(no pedals). There is an iron/steel steering wheel about 10" in diameter and a brake lever that actuates leading-edge wagon style brakes on the rear wheels. There are metal footrests and a bracket for something--a bumper? (now missing) on the front. The whole thing is quite substantial. There is writing on the seat area (painted) but I can't make it out. I believe this is a manufactured item, not home-made--the standard of worksmanship seems too high. Any information which could lead to the positive identification of this item would be appreciated.
