Where I would find a market for vintage Photography Kit?

I have a Photography Salesmans Kit from between 1860-1900. I contacted Eastman Kodak and was told what I had. The gentleman wanted me to donate the kit.. He said he only has xx amount of dollars for the museum items and had spent that for the year. Kodak does NOT have one in their collection.

Beautiful prints on colored muslin(?), and canvas. One photo is what they called a crayon color print(?). Sorry I can not find his email. Any ideas where I would sell something like this?? I did contact Cowen Auction House in Cinci and was told it probably wouldn't sell for better than $500 there. If this is so rare, I would like another idea than just one.
