Posted at June 19, 2006, 2:33 pm: Hi All, Got the nicest email from Dave Steiner. He was wondering where I had disappeared to. I feel as if over the past year I fell off the face of the earth into another space & time. My husband and I sold our house (it was really hard to let that beautiful house go) but, we used our money and got out of debt and opened a vintage clothing store. Our first day open was on August 4, 2005. It has taken me a very long time to get my store the way I want it and I took many twist and turns to get it to where it is today. There is still so much work left to be done. In the meantime, website and anything to do with the internet had to take a backseat for awhile. As a matter of fact, our pc broke down and we had to purchase a new one. So many things to take care of and hard work to do but finally, I can see a little glimmer of light at the end of this tunnel. I would have to say that Dave's email was perfect timing and very much a welcomed note. If he would have contacted me a month ago I would have had to tell him to find someone else to host this forum. I have had the oppurtunity to learn alot about the fashion world and how alot of the younger people are combining vintage clothing with new clothing. It has been very interesting to see some of these girls come into my store and express their visions with some of the pieces of the past of how they will wear them...this will help some of you I am sure when listing some of your vintage clothing and will also be good for those that do not sell much clothing, will give you a little insight.
