Posted at July 18, 2006, 5:03 pm: Three Unknowns. I put all three unknown items at one place: http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=8624719&uid=2959793&members=1 The first three pictures are of unknown material. I tried the 409 test, and didn't get a result. I don't know what they're made of, possibly bone or ivory? Some kind of plastic? My smeller doesn't work right, and they're strung on string, so I can't do the hot water test. The necklace is 15 1/2" long, off and has a matching screw type clasp. The beads are approximately 1/4" diameter. The earring hardware is silver in color and is the old clip screw type. It is not marked that I could find. The same applies to the second set (four pictures) Unknown material, smeller problems, 409 test no result. The necklace is 17" long. There is a rose theme to all these items, and for sure the pin and the earrings go together. Not so sure about necklace (screw type clasp). The pin and earrings are one sided. Gold color hardware. The earrings are the old screw type clip. The last pictures are of what I believe to be costume jewelry earrings. There are red stones and a clear one. I'm assuming rhinestones. They are very old fashioned and are clip ons (screw type). There is a mark on back of the ear piece. It is a diamond with a "V" through it. I think that is for Vargas? Sorry if this is too long. I know nothing about jewelry, real or imagined. Any information I can get on any of these would help immensely. Thanks.
