40+ yrs. ago at a junk yard at Chouteau & Vandeventer in St. Louis, MO., I bought an ornate, heavy aquarium/terrarium frame with matching wood-topped wrought iron stand. I cleaned them up and saw some bronze plating. If there were glass in the aquarium frame, it would hold about 10 gallons of water.

The bottom of the aquarium rests on four wavey-edged feet embellished with raised pineapples. The bottom rails are similarly embellished. The 4 upright members are spirals, with a spiral-flame looking top. The top rails are embellished with raised fleur-de-lis.
Grasp the top of the spirals and you could unscrew the uprights. Turned over, the bottom appears to be cast iron. There are no maker's marks.

I'm hoping somebody knows something about this apparently Victorian-era home decor item. What is it? Who appraises such things? Could I get it re-glazed and use it to keep fish?
