I couldn't find a place where people could to get to know each other and enter a little background about themselves so others who have like interests can exchange ideas... Since I couldn't find one exactly like that, I started this one... I certainly hope I didn't make a mistake by doing this. Everybody probably agrees that as a new member, it's odd to jump right in to an existing post that doesn'r necessarily relate to anything of ours just to say hello to everybody there. So... Here it is. Hi folks and let me start by thanking the creators and long-time supporters for an excellent concept and a great site. This forum is the most important I've seen thus far for those of us who want to sell online, either at auctions or by other means. I have done a number of eBay transactions but decided that it's hard to compete with the people that sell you the stuff you are trying to sell. I have been looking into doing something online for two years in order to make a living... really! I became diasabled after a doctor ruined by back and, then after three more surgeries to try to repair the damage, I was left semi-paralyzed. I had to give up my home building business of 25 years and now I have to start from scratch! The problem is finding something that you can make a decent living doing. I've tried auctions, but I can't seem to grasp the technology that all of you have learned to make it a big success. Right now I'm looking for turn-key eCommerce websites that sell unique products that not too many people sell. I can promote the site and then list the "hot" products on auctions. However, since I can't create websites yet and since I can't afford to hire someone, I have to maneuver my way to the right place and pray that I get there at the right time.... People who have made it big can ususally find a moment in time where they can say "I was at the right place at the right time!" I'm here now... I sure hope that someone that sees this needs a person with 25 years of succeeding in the big business arena that has the tech taalents, but needs the map to avoid the pitfalls and the wisdom to sniff out the best doors to go through! This may not be an introduction, pre se, but I tell you where I am at this point in life and where I am seeking to go... anybody want a ride? Or, should I say, is anybody for ppicking up a hitch-hiker Seriously everyone.
