So says Ken Russell, who plans to release a trilogy of short films over the web (under the cunning title of Hot Pants: 3 Sexy Shorts). Our Ken seems a bit disappointed by the movie-going experience in general, what with all the chatter (and lack of trees)...

But do you agree? Will cinemas disappear, as we burrow into a world of straight-to-DVD releases and web-woven oddities? Given that box office takings are slumping worldwide anyway, are our film 'cathedrals' slowly on the way out?
