Posted at July 28, 2016, 2:27 pm: A couple of days ago there was an article on the front page of the Metro (free paper handed out in city centres in the UK for those that don't know) saying that Bill Gates believes that Blu-Ray/HD-DVD will be the last physical format that movies will be released on. In the future all movies will be streamed, on demand or whatever and stored on hard disks in home computers connected to the home tv (like in Windows Media Centre computers). How do we all feel about this? I for one hope this will not be the case. I like having discs. I like having cases with artwork that I can handle. I like having shelves full of films that I can look at and for friends to see whenever they come round. But I can also see the appeal of being able to access all of my films via remote control. I already do this to a degree, I converted one of my Futurama boxsets to divx because I got bored of having to open the box every half an hour if I wanted to change episodes. It's very convienient indeed but I still like having that box on my shelf that I can look at if I want to. Would you welcome a change such as this or would you be firmly against it? *I've also posted this on another forum but I thought I'd also post it on my favourite (even if it isn't quite so busy as the other)* Original of the message was taken from http://www.movieforums.com/community/ Replies:Quote: Originally Posted by Clark Nova A coup...Quote: Originally Posted by 7thson I dont min...
