Posted at October 24, 2005, 7:25 pm: Oks... so Ruzkin told me i should put stuff in here for feed back... and I was all... fearness coz people here are really good and draw really interesting things and lately I feel my art to be very boring... I mean... most of what I draw these days are cute little anthros. So I guess now that I'm submitting here... I should prove I'm more than just furries and cute little comics. Get back to drawing some of the old cool stuff I used to do, with a wee bit of violence and some mecha type stuff. anyways heres some stuff: This ismy entry for Kraden's character redesign contest. I'm not keen on the royal blue and tan combination, everyone else has kept the royal blue but I ditched it in favour of natural colours. Besides, the first time I met him, he was wearing brown. Forgot to make his arms as fluffy as a proper anthro should be, I was using photo reference and was concentrating more on getting the arms drawn and shaded right to convey proper forshortening. This is a concept sketch for a character of mine, pose is pretty stiff and lifeless, but I spose it suits her zombie like look. Nothing exciting here though. I did a little book recently with Ruzkin which had a bunch of comics like this one and an illustrated story. The cross hatching and shading in the first panel are kinda dodge-wa as it doesnt really convey the depth of the room and the hanging walls as they are for real... though I spose it's not worth crying about... not like someone's gonna read the comics and go... your cross hatching in this panel sucks...this comic sucks... you suck... go back home to your burrow!" A digital painting that I never completed. Started by messing in my forms and what not on photoshop, then went into Open Canvas for more delicate painting, Only ended up doing the face to use as an avatar. Drew a Gambit for a friend's birthday gift. I hate his pink spandex outfit so drew him dressed casually. Lack lustre pose, the card is all wrong, and his right leg isnt hitting the ground right. "Fanart" I dont really like this game that much, and hated cloud... so drew this for my me and my friend to laugh at. Took about an hour or so to draw and colour, maybe 2. I was chatting with my friend at the time so I dont remember. Sketchy action chibi doo dah. Sketcky comic idea doo dah. Uhm... actually I really don't know... Playing around with a fun pose. I do love's my Living End. I coloud probably inject a bit more action by increasing the variation of line width. I see quite a few little flaws that make me kinda unhappy (mainly on the ninja bunny)... but then... Ive been getting careless... if I want to go further I should probably be unhappy. A portrait. Started off with rather light pencil, then went in with pencils to colour, then played a bit with water colour and ink. 'nother portrait, this time BW in open canvas. Vector of a vacuum.... I choose really interesting subjects don't I? Cold lifeless drawing care of me... needs shading and live variation. Not just cold accurate portrayal of forms and shapes... also I dont think shes drawn sitting on the same plane the bed is positioned. Acryllic painting of a playstaion. Sketchy mermaid doo dah. I like the clothing folds and hair, everything else sucks. Tis me dad. Digital painting in OC. Character design. I hate his shoes. 'nother character, really kinda boring. And a concept design for wings based on those worn by the Hussars. Errr.... thats more than enough...
