Yeah, I haven't posted in a while. I try not to post unless something really stupid enters my head and I want all of your opinions.

Well, something entered my head the other day and I wanted to know what you guys think.

I was wondering if the new music recording technology actually increases performance. OK, let me explain: when I was a young adult (WAY back in the 80's) I used to run--jog actually--with a Walkman ( a device back then that only played cassettes). I'd stride in beat to the music until 30 minutes later I'd have to stop and turn over the cassette.

Then in the 90's I bought a CD player. It played an entire CD of a singular artist that lasted at least an hour. The trouble with that was after the CD was over you either had to stop and switch music or replay the entire CD over again!

But now with MP3's there is no "down time". You can actually listen to HOURS of music, hundreds of songs at a time! If you are like me and music blaring in your ears motivates you, you know what I mean. Some people NEED music to keep them going.

Can todays technology actually increase performance because there is little or no down-time?
