Well, just got my 5150 back from the shop, along with a new monster speaker cable. It is still having the same problems that it was before which was the volume cutting out and a large ammount of crackling when I take the amp off of standby. Could this be caused by faulty wiring in the speaker cab since this is the only thing that was not looked at or should I take it back to the shop? I know if I jiggle the speaker cable around at the input on the cab it will cut otu completely, but when sitting still, would it cause the problems I describeD?

When you turn it on and turn it off it is really intense.

my 5150 did the same thing when i got new tubes for it.

Maybe the tubes aren't biased properly? Just a thought, I don't know ...

I had a problem very similar to this with my old amp.

Yeah, both give the same problem, as do both amps on the back of the 5...
