I call out to the drummers of MX to help out in a little recording project that goes something like this:
A bunch of us over in the "Metallica Inc" thread in R&M are trying to put together about an albums worth of online Metallica covers. As some of you may have already guessed, the guitarist:drummer ratio is certainly not even so I'm asking here for any drummers who would like to record a full Metallica drum track for us to do so ASAP and post it over in that thread.
Basically, you'd need to know the song perfectly and be able to play it all the way through in time because every other instrument will be following and relying on you to keep time. Obviously, you'd also need a way of recording your kit which, unfortunately, might be impossible for some people (no mics etc).
We haven't chosen any songs for sure yet so it's entirely up to you which song you play/record but quite a few suggestions have been made as to which songs would be cool to cover so maybe give those a read first for ideas.
We'd all greatly appreciate any help and support that anyone can give because without drum tracks, we're pretty much stuck playing over programmed drums and/or MIDI files and that's just not as cool now is it?
So a big thanks in advance and we hope to hear from some Jnr. Lars Ulrich's very soon.
