Why don't the majority of rock drummers play shuffles these days? It seems like this integral type of groove which draws upon blues and jazz music's influence on rock (when its played in rock music) isnt too popular as it should be.

I listen to all my old records and find shuffles by the truckload , with current day music its the exceptional song here and there.
