I was wondering if other people are at all like this. When I'm chattin, I rarley use "lol" when I'm laughing out loud. It really just means, "If I was a much less funny person I might onece out of ten times laughed out loud at the aformentioned comment." I feel bad, since this dilutes the lols that I use when I actually am lughing out loud. And so, I have thought about making a few new acronyms for to give me a fuller range of choices to describe all the funny attempts those who IM me make:

cab: chuckled a bit.
nt: nice try
failure: failure
lxl: I appriciate the attempt, and see that in a different audience it could be funny, but it didn't quite achieve "lol" status.

btw "lmao" and "rofl" really suck.

Discuss the travesty at hand.
