I hate overproduced music (i.e current day music)

I wish they would do the following....

Don't get into 'loudness' wars. This means tone comes before cut. Thats right boys and girls , tones before cut. Instead of that crappy ODCP snare drum , buy a really good snare thats packed with tone , like a supraphonic.

2. Dont Squash the sound for farks sake! Dynamics is important. Dynamics help you and your band sound like you and your band , rather than generic radio garbage. dynamics enhance the groove to no end!

3. Guitarists dont scoop your mids for god sake. Most of the best guitar tones have mids , mids , mids.

4. Dont squash the bass players sound. I want to hear that bass , and i want to hear it playing its own thing.

5. Spend more time on your sound than your image

6. Be more ecletic and diverse , and try to outdo yourself musically with each new album.
