Posted at August 26, 2016, 1:46 pm: Don't you hate it when good friends turn bad? I know I do. I'm asking for advice here ( gasp, It's not girlfriend related ). I need to know what I can do legally and illegally. Back when I was trying to get my car i needed 1000 for a down payment, i had 900 and need 100 more. So I was talking to my friend and told him about it and told him I was going to pawn my fender stratocaster but they would only give me 75$. Less then 1/4th the cost I bought it for and put in it with the seymour. So, he said he would be the pawn shop and would give me 100$. He needed a guitar that worked because his volume knob is broken on his. I was pretty desperate and he was a good friend so far, I knew him for about 5 years. Well it's been a few months but word on the street is that he intends to keep my guitar. He told one of my best friends, what an Idiot. Well he says he's keeping the guitar and when my friend mentioned my intentions of bringing the police in the matter he said "he sold it to me". Well we did made no written agreement, which was stupid of me but I was desperate and really didnt consider the fact that a guitar was worth more then a 5 year friendship. He's dodging my phone calls and saying he's busy, but nothing about him wanting to keep it. I know I have few options, the police thing was just a scare tactic. Although I do have proof of ownership, I have the fender tag with the serial numer and If I wanted i could get d0cumentation from guitarcenter problely.I can't really strong arm him considering he's alot bigger and has tough reletives and friends. If nothing else works, in a month I'll just break his windshield and slash his tires in the night. Either way he's paying for that guitar, weither its to me getting it back, or repairs to his car.Any ideas?
