In the past few months I've wanted to get into a more fantasy/anime realism type of art but I'm running into a big problem.. at least it's not where *I* want it. Some others like it, but if I ever want to take this farther I'm gonna have to get it where I like it. I know my work is good, but it's not where it could be. My current job is a concept artist and colorist for a local studio, but I want something more where I'm making a decent and steady profit, but I can't do that if I don't get on it. Basically I'm wanting some tips and advice on how to tackle the thing I'm having the most trouble with. The face. Sometimes I have trouble, sometimes not so much. I got the general scope.. but when it comes to keeping it from being flat and a few other things, I fail. Can someone help me? I'm posting a couple of pictures below of my more realistic face style and I wonder if anyone could tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to fix it. And.. well, sometimes the hair -_- I think I've put this in the right thread.. if not, please inform me. I'm sorry if I have. But paintovers, and anything else WILL BE APPRICIATED.
