Just read the subject news item on your site. While I am terribly sorry for what happened to the Renners, this incident should be burned into the minds of all small business owners.
Why wouldn't you INSURE a collection valued at over $250,000? (Mr. Renner's estimate) And why would you leave such a collection in a trailer, UNATTENDED, in a hotel parking lot? If it were me, I would have been SLEEPING in my car/truck if I had such a collection in my trailer!!!
I am not stating these questions in order to be callous towards the Renners' situation - I really do feel for them. But this should be a lesson for all business owners to be sensible when it comes to their business, and NOT think that disasters such as this could never happen to them.
