So you get your check. $236.05 gross, $198.27 after taxes. Not bad.

But think about this. What if you got the $236.05 in the check, but had to send the government $37.82 every week in the form of a check. Basically what im saying is, is that a lot of people don't realize the money is there's untill they see it. Imagine being part of the 50% tax bracket, and having to send the government half your check every week. My dad's friend was explaining this to me, and said that if people had to pay taxes this way, there would be a tax revolt of epic proportions. Do you agree, or do you have a different theory as to what would happen. And how would you feel having to send your taxes in the form of a check every week?
