Hi everyone. This is my first post here, although I've been visiting on and off for months.

Okay, I've been asked by a freind to produce the concept art for a game. It's going to be an unreal mod made by a bunch of software developers who left EA games. Since it's non-profit, I thought it'd be a good chance to help get some experience.

Although they're still fleshing out the ideas, the basic game is about some geeky engineer/scientist guy who has to steal a construction mech and shoot a bunch of stuff. As the game progresses the mech becomes upgraded into a killing machine.
The first pic is the main character, I was only told that he should have curtains, glasses, and be geeky, the costume is a bit generic so far but I think I'll try some futuristic science suit later (It's difficult not to make the guy look like Gordon Freeman or Otakon). The second pic is just an idea of what the construction mech would look like, they wanted something remeniscent of the loader from Aliens.

As you'll be able to tell, I'm a beginner at this, so I'd appreciate any help that you might be able to give me.
