Ok, I got this bass photoshopped over at TalkBass (kudos Beav) and was wondering what your views are on it? It's a Fender Jazz with a BadassII bridge, MM pickup in the bridge position and black scratchplate
However, I also want to ask a few questions
1. I want it to be active, but I don't think I can afford an active Jazz, what are my options
2. Will the BadassII have any real impact on the sound
3. If I make the MM coil splitable, will this give me the sound of a jazz pickup
I have a mate who works at my local guitar store who can sort out all the routing, so really it's just the electronics I'm worried about

Maybe it would simply be easier to buy an Active Jazz? They're £4...

the jretro is much more versatile than the standard jazz preamp.
