Hello! This dragon here is my second attempt at digital painting. I don't like it much, and my friends from DeviantArt do nothing but praise it, but I really would like some critique so I can get better at digital painting. Especially making it look SMOOTH against the background.


This one here with the guy and girl is another attempt at digital painting. I like the concept, but not so much the painting itself. I tried not to use the Dodge tool like I did for the dragon scales, and did the lighting effects with the paintbrush tool and a greenish tint and watercolor filter for the background, which is a stock photo I stuck in there because it desperately needed it. I'm rather happy with the lighting and background, but I don't like the faces. And again, it's not smooth and I need some advice on that.

That black blob is distracting, tone down the edges a bit, it's a hars...
