Posted at June 17, 2006, 7:29 pm: Hello, I’m quite new here, and very nervous about how my art will hold up to others found on Concept Art., but at the same time I hope to get the brutal honest truth about what’s wrong with the picture. Especially, since this is realism, I know there will be a lot of problems with it, as I just started drawing in realism recently (which I’ve heard from some people that it would had been better if I started realism first then learning a cartoon style for comics and such). I hope I don’t come across as being just another teenager who doesn’t know what they’re doing, even if it’s true sometimes especially in art at the moment, but I’m trying and wanting to hearing anything anyone, professional or not, has to say. As for the picture, I hope it isn’t too big, I have a habit of not realizing those issues, even when I try. But basically it was a mixture of a study, and getting the image out of my head and onto paper. I had a few book references, the bones however were in a profile and full view angle, so I had to try and manage, I believe some of the bones still look in profile view. I know it’s no where near perfect, and some of it may seem very not realistic, but that’s what I’m hoping to get help on. *PS I know it may not be under the terms of beauty for some, but again I'm still learning. *edit due to spelling errors I missed when first writing it.
