We have experienced a system-wide decrease in hits and sales on ebay since December. We sell in a broad range of categories - consumer electronics, jewelry, home decor, etc - so we are certain that this is not just a fluke. We have run several tests and have found that our hits are substantially decreased (in the 80% range) on the exact same product. We have optimized our titles, description, category selections and played with pricing - start prices as well as shipping prices. Same results - our sales are down. One of the big topics at eBay Live! was search engine marketing but why should we do our own search engine marketing IN ADDITION to paying eBay fees.
