Okay, I've got a Music Man S.U.B. and I'm thinking of changing strings on it for the first time... Now I wonder, what strings are on SUB's when they're shipped? Do the strings come with the bass itself from the factory or does the music store string it themselves?

In case there's a "standard" set of strings for SUB's (Ernie Ball?) does anyone know exactly what this is? (I mean so I would know what it is on it now, to figure in which direction to go with thickness etc...)

The store I bought the bass from only have the following brands of strings: Aria, Danelectro, La Bella (lots of different) and Thomastik Infeld... What do you guys think of these brands?

EDIT: and it's a standard four string SUB. I love it.

those are probably factory stings, most like EBs.

If its straight from a store then there is a 99% chance that they are ...

They will be Ernie Balls, Super Slinkys most likely 40's or 45's.
