So I think I've reached the point in my playing where I'd like to start trying to record some stuff and produce things on my own. I use to be able to get my guitar into my computer with my old amp, but now I own a Crate XT65R and I can't get it to work anymore.

My question to you is simple! I'd like to buy something similar to a POD, but cheaper. Hows the GuitarPort? V-Amp2? My budget is like $100-$150 area unfortunatley. I've never bothered looking into this type of thing before, but Christmas is coming so why not!

I appologize if this has been done a million times.

Those who own one says that the V-Amp2 is good, and as a budget thingy...

look for a used version of the first POD on ebay, not the newer versio...

check craigslist for a used pod, or get a V-amp 2 and yoiu will be hap...

i use a PODxt, and i got it off ebay for a reasonable price before the...

It sounds better than V-amp2, but it's less versatile.
