i am considering buyng a new amp,and i want to know what sort would suit my playing. i like the peavy tone,but i have been told that they are mainly for classic rock ( btw,i play metal and very occasionally classic rock). i mainly use pedal distortion,but would consider using amp distortion if it had alot of kick,i really like that really raw sound. i also use the clean channel a bit,but not as much as distortion. i would only consider solid state,as i am too careless for valves . i dont want to spend more that $400 bucks if i can avoid it. also,im not using ebay,i just want some reccomendations. thanks in advace
