I'm a virgin.
Never done a character/figure paint, but I have fig drawing experience. This is my first piece that I want to really work into a finished state that I will be pleased with. There will probably be virtually no background.
Vargas was the inspiration, and i pretty much ripped off the pose from him (mostly), but I'm not looking to duplicate his work or style.
I'm pretty happy with the anatomy, but if anyone notices something wonky I'm sure they'll point it out
I guess the main point of this exercise is to practice flesh rendering.
Here is the Vargas pic for ref, my original sketch, and where i'm at now. I'll update as i work....

You really should be using a photo if you are going to use reference.
