I've avoided learning to use color well for far too long. Trying to re-theme this site has taught me that, well, I suck at colors.

So, been trying to learn to use them better... this is an attempt to paint an ork that is being illuminated by an orangish light. It was done in PS and I found myself painting with 50% opacity and one finger on my alt key at all times. It seemed a good way to blend between colors, but almost felt like cheating. I have no idea why it feels like cheating but it does... I know I'm a dork...

Any crits (the more brutal the better) welcome.

use hard brushes! and don't be afraid to experiment with darker shadow...
