ok ive got sum cheap double bass pedals that i paid about 70 pounds for. Ive had these pedals for around two years and mainly wen i play drums, i play with pads on.
when i go on drums at other places without pads, the pedals tend to be premier or pearl, and they feel a lot tighter than my pedals and i feel like i have to push harder for the beaters to hit the skins, this of course slows down my kicking and makes it harder for me to control my kick drum beats.

is the difference in tension because my pedals are cheap and wearing out and the others are of good quality, or is it because im used to hitting a kick drum with a pad on?

i feel like the pearl or premier pedals would be easier to play with for some reason so im thinking of getting the tama iron cobra juniors.
