Don't care if it's a half-stack or a combo, tube or solid state BUT i prefer it to have no effects whatsoever except reverb... I have a Fender Princeton 65 right now (one 12" speaker).

How's the Peavey Valveking, Classic or Fender Hot Rod Deluxe... when it comes to bass response? I just basically want very very heavy rhythm, I love playing leads but my lead tone doesn't matter that much to me. Built in distortion also doesn't matter to me, but if the amp has a good one that's a plus. I'd prefer using my DS-1 or MT-2 for distortion.

If you want bass response DO NOT get the HRD, it gets almost none.

123 The Diablo has the most insane bass response I've ever heard.

My HRD gets pretty excellent bass response.
