What are lace sensors like? I've heard that they're just like single coils except with "a little extra OOMPH!"

I personally LOVE the tone qualities of single coils without distortion, just pure clean channel. It's amazing, and it picks up so many little nuances of your playing. If lace sensors could still perform like that I'd be one happy little bunny.

Also, how do they sound with distortion? could they produce some of the really strong tones you need for slash style solos or Satch stuff? If i get a fender I'll be getting one with a Humbucker in the bridge aswell, would that be good enough?
