A friend of mine is a metal-head. He loves metal, specially death/black. He asked me to help him find a good amp/head for more or less that price.

Can you help him? He loved that Marshall MG100HDFX amp, but I have heard many things about that amp of not being that good for the price, so is asking me, and that's why I ask you .

EDIT: I'm looking for both. the head and the cab, at that price range.

Marshall MG is a piece of crap, especially the head unit.

i got my JCM 900 used for about 700 i got it at a store in berkely ...
