Hey, I have been playing for coming on 3 years now and when playing on the lower part of the neck, <12th, I can play fast and smoothly with ease . But, whenever I try to go past the 12th my hand changes its shape and I find it difficult and uncomfortable to play smooth and fast. I try to play as fast as I do on the lower part but I end up missing notes, off time etc. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Anyone else have the same problem?

I have the same problem, only I have it from <3 and >12.
