G'day everyone, I've been having a bit of trouble latley painting cast shadows onto different forms and still having that form read properly and have the color effected.
For example im doing a city scape and when I block in the buildings I put in the cast shadows first but when I try to paint something that goes in and out of the cast shadow like a figure thats half in the light I have trouble making it look consistant. Are you supposed to paint in the cast shadows opaquely or paint them using transparent layers over the top after you have finished doing the details?
