I've been drawing for years now. I can draw realism from looking at something but I have always wanted to have a style I could call my own and be proud of. I see alot of people on concept art that have amazing styles and I was wondering what influenced them to create that style. It can be the line work the way they paint or the underlying gesture. The way they draw details or content. I was wondering is it a concious decision the way people draw.

I always think its inspirationional and once someone realizes thats how they like to draw they stick with it and hone it. For me so many styles inspire me that I start drawing a certain way and then another style comes along and Im like I like that too but I never get practiced enough in the style I was trying to go for and then I am back to square one. what are your thoughts on this?

Creating a style isn't all about drawing like other people.
