I'm forever struggling to play and sing backing vocals at the same time, unless the vocal harmonies follow what I'm playing. My fingers chuff up and I just start singing what I'm supposed to be playing if I try anything adventurous.

What are some decent tracks to build me up into a proficient player/singer? (I've tried Audioslave - Be Yourself, and am struggling )

I seem to be able to do it ok when I'm using a plectrum, but I can't play as well with a plectrum, so I'm looking for a way to improve.
