i was wondering about this. i can get a good deal on subwoofers, and my dad knows how to make the enclosements (he does it for cars). so, im not worried about the sub or cab..(as far as design and all that) i need to know about like, wiring, how to get it to work, and how would i get the signal from the amp to the cab?

would i just get some kind of converter that goes from 1/4" to speaker wire..? or would it work if i just put a 1/4" input to begin with...?

i want to have like my normal cab, and then a sub. so i will have more powerful low-end.

will this whole idea even work..?

buy a bass guitar, tune it an octave lower, turn the treble and...

If the amp has got a line out you could run an active sub off it.
