hi i wanna get a new amp sometime at the end of 2005 and the guitar shop which i go to every week says i should go with a fender hot rod.

i was originally gonna get a dsl 50 or dsl 401 or a jcm 900 combo or head but realised that neither of them have much of a clean channel at all. and the 900 is single channel which aint good for me

my guestion is could i get a pop punk tone via pedals. by pop punk i mean bands like the used,mcr,all american rejects. all those bands use marshall none of them use fender???
