Posted at September 27, 2015, 12:28 am: I'm Sorry if there was another thread about this but unfortunately, the search would not let me search the word "DVD" because it was too short. so, heres my problem. my friend lent me his entire Noir Boxset. its 7 DVD's total. i want to make a direct copy with the menu, extras, lang control, etc... so, i thought to myself, this is going to be easy, just rip ISO and reburn. however, im getting an ISO that is 7.33gb from a 4.7gb DVD. WTF!!!!??? i thought perhaps thats an error so i let it keep ripping and attempted to burn that iso, GREAT SCOTT!!! ofcourse it doesnt work O_O. disk is too small (i dont have dual layer dvds...still too much moneh). I also thought of using a DVD ripper to get the raw video but when i do that, i can only isolate the movie with either the eng dubbing which i hate with a burning passion. if i wanted that, i would have kept the 4.4gb file i downloaded with bittorrent. so, im on a quest to find a way to get myself the entire Noir series that is jap dub eng sub. I just thought it would be easier considering i have the DVD's right in front of me to use those....however, im not willing to devote 55gb of my hardrive to a single series. so heres where i ask for your help. Does anyone know why its ripping a 7.33gb ISO off a 4.7gb DVD? if so, how get around that? Does anyone know how to get the ripping tool to use the jap audio stream instead of the english one AND get the subtitles on there? Does anyone have a direct copy tool that can work around copyright and encoding ( i have already tried alcohal 120%...thats what initialy gave me the 7.33gb file, nero and intervideo both produced same results.)
