The Wine Label exercize was fun, so I thought we might want to try another exercize. This time, the premise is to design a CD sleeve for new artist. Here are the details:
Geffen Records is promoting the upcoming release of their recently signed recording artist Jeff Angel, titled "Home to me." For this, they need a simple 3-song teaser CD to be distributed as a free give-away at every Virgin Megastore in the United States and Europe. They're asking for your firm to design the artwork for a simple front-and-back CD sleeve and the CD face to match.
Example:
Click here to download a zipped file with all of the information that you'll need. It has a text file with the names, tracks, times, and legal lines. You'll also find 2 logos that need to be on the packaging as well as a high-res photo of the artist himself. If you choose to use the photo, you're free to crop it and manipulate it however you think looks best.
If you'd like some inspiration for this project, Asterik Studio is probably the best place to find it.
