I'm thinking about taking a crack at sculpting for this art project I have. I don't expect to master it in a few weeks or months, but I'd like to get some instructions or pointers, like what do I need as far as tools and utencils? any pointers on how to start, how to shape, and how to finish your sculptings? This project I'm doing is gonna be based on any material that can be carved (with the exclusion of clay.) I'm not worried about the final product for now, because my professor most likely doesn't have high expectations, I just want to give myself a reason to sculpt something with pressured effort (since I'm not really a sculptor but I've always wanted to be, just never had the chance to try) so I'll do it better, in comparison to just trying it during my free time.
